Acoustic & Electric Guitarist

Jason's Caravan is the acoustic side of Jason Carter's guitar playing. After years of study and performance with various "hot club" (ala Django Reinhardt) bands and traditional gypsy folk groups, the Caravan utilizes the acoustic format complete with guitars, upright bass, and various hand percussion instruments. Jason's Caravan is a unique blend of original compositions, jazz standards, as well as retro video game themes in the gypsy format.

Jason's musical education began in the 1980s when he first picked up the electric guitar and began learning hits of that decade. Despite the musical shifts that have occured since (and time), Jason has kept his peers (as well as new generations) entertained with all things "awesome". Whether it be the Top 40 hits makers of the day, cutting edge New Wave, underground Goth/Industrial or even Heavy Metal. Up and down the West Coast, Jason has played with groups ranging from the Pacific NorthWest's #1 hair metal cover band to Los Angeles' leading U2 tribute show, to playing w/the the actual stars themselves (like the Scorpion's drummer James Kottak).

The hits of the 1980's he has performed read like a "Flashback" dj setlist: INXS, Bryan Adams, Duran Duran, A Flock of Seagulls, Adam Ant, Bananarama, The Bangles, Prince, The Cars, Simple Minds, The Go-Gos, David Bowie, Sade, Hall & Oates, Modern English, Eurythmics, George Michael, Depeche Mode, Devo, A-Ha, Animotion, Pat Benatar, Blondie, B52's, Thompson Twins, Stray Cats, Men At Work, Human League, Journey, Madonna, Police, The Sisters of Mercy, Bauhaus, Siouxsie & the Banshees, The Cure, The Cult, Wham, Billy Idol, Tears for Fears, Don Henley, Michael Jackson, U2, Talking Heads, Dead or Alive, Poison, Ratt, Warrant, Scorpions, Tesla, Ozzy, Judas Priest, Motley Crue, Twisted Sister, Quiet Riot, Cinderella, Europe, White Lion, Whitesnake, Great White, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Guns N Roses, Dokken, AC/DC, Skid Row, Van Halen, and many more....
